About Jennifer Garces

For over 30 years, my husband and I have had the privilege of designing, building, and maintaining beautiful ornamental and edible gardens throughout Long Island, New York. My love for gardening is woven into my very DNA. Both my Pop Pop, my mother's father, and my Grandma, my father's mother, were avid gardeners. Though I was too young to glean from their master skills, the stories of their passion for growing vegetables and flowers were passed down to me like precious seeds, taking root in my own heart and creating a lifelong yearning for the garden.

The garden has become my most sacred space—a sanctuary of tranquility where I encounter God's presence in profound and transformative ways. It is here, where nature produces miracles, that I've discovered the gentle voice of the Father speaking truth into my circumstances, bringing healing to wounded places, and restoring hope where despair once reigned. I've discovered that the garden doesn't demand perfection; it simply invites us to come as we are and experience the Master Gardener's tender care.

I understand the hurt caused by religion and the hesitancy many feel about returning to traditional church settings. But here's the beautiful truth: you can begin your search for God in the garden. There, in the quiet rhythm of planting and tending, watering and waiting, God will meet you. Just as He walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, the garden becomes a place of deep spiritual connection—a space where the soil of our hearts can be cultivated, where faith can be restored, and where we can experience the abundant life God desires for each of us.

My passion is to inspire you to embrace both the physical and spiritual transformation that flows from spending intentional time in the garden. When we partner with God to cultivate life—whether nurturing a special herb or tending the soil of our own hearts—we participate in something profoundly sacred.

The Garden of Your Heart is born from decades of walking with God through seasons of joy and sorrow, abundance and drought, planting and harvest. My prayer is that these words will encourage you to create your own sacred garden space—a place where you can meet with your Heavenly Father and discover the healing, hope, and abundant joy He has prepared for you.

Come, walk with me. Let's grow together.
